A proud Bundjulung and Wailwan man with strong family and community ties, James has family roots in Yamba and Warren, with the Ferguson family residing in Mascot for over 30 years. Born and raised in Waterloo, South Sydney, and now living in Hillsdale, he lives and works on Eora Nation Country, bringing cultural awareness, respect for Country, and lived experience into the way projects are delivered.

Blake Hurley, Co-Founder

A proud Bundjulung and Kamilaroi man, Blake's connection to Country spans across New South Wales. Born in Waterloo, South Sydney, Blake's paternal lineage - the Bostocks - extends from Tweed Heads to Grafton, while his maternal family - the Cains - have deep roots in Coonabarabran. After living throughout Sydney, from Petersham to Maroubra, Blake now calls Botany home, bringing local knowledge and cultural understanding to every project.
